Cinema First, the industry body that promotes UK cinemagoing, has launched a national campaign hailing the return of the big-screen experience, following a rise in streaming-service subscriptions during the pandemic.

The deal comes after a record-breaking year for UK film and TV production, with £6BILLION pouring into the industry and Chancellor Rishi Sunak stating it will “drive growth and create jobs with thousands of opportunities”.

“Spain’s film industry is thriving, with box office takings from Spanish films shown outside the country rising by 20 per cent in 2017,” said Alain Chamaillard, Head of Digital Cinema at NEC Display Solutions Europe.
